Moving to UK, where do i start with travel insurance? : General ...

Ill be moving to Wales with my Welsh girlfriend at the end of next month on a youth mobility visa and plan on traveling throughout Europe as well but I've never left the country before and not exactly sure where to start when it comes to acquiring travel insurance. I plan on staying for up to a year or longer, if anyone can direct me as to what companies may be reliable or suited to my needs that would be awesome!
